A Note from Mr. Burris
I wanted to take a moment to highlight our upcoming High School retreat at T Bar M Camp this week. At BCS, we are always seeking meaningful ways to invest in and impact the lives of our students, and we believe this retreat has the potential to make a profound and even life-changing difference.
In most years, we hold this retreat early in the Fall semester to help set the tone for the school year. With this year’s retreat looking a little different and taking place in the Spring, we are reminded to trust in God’s perfect timing. We believe the Lord is already at work and that He has meaningful moments and divine appointments prepared for many of our students during this time away.
Josh Dawes will be bringing the messages throughout the retreat, and Bo Carter will be leading us in praise and worship. Our theme this year is “Marked by the Master.” Together, we will explore how belonging to God leaves a visible mark on the way we live, calling us to be set apart for His glory. Students will study the biblical account of Joseph’s life and be challenged through practical applications from 1 Peter.
Along with times of teaching and worship, students will also enjoy a variety of fun activities each day, including team-building opportunities designed to strengthen friendships and deepen our sense of community.
We believe God has wonderful things in store for BCS during this retreat, and we ask that you partner with us in prayer. Please pray for meaningful conversations, for the preaching and hearing of God’s Word, for hearts to be engaged during our times of praise and worship, for opportunities to build strong relationships, and for the safety of everyone attending.

Reminder::: Each student needs to bring a box/bag of pre-wrapped, individual store bought snacks to share while at camp (ex: chips, goldfish, little debbies, granola bars, peanut butter crackers, etc.) These can be brought to the Secondary office by, TOMORROW, March 17. Texas Education Freedom Accounts - Applications are open until March 17!
The State of Texas recently passed a law that allocates a portion of the annual Texas budget to what is known as School Choice. This means that parents will have the opportunity to apply for funds that they can use to pay for their child’s private school education. You can review the information about the Texas Education Freedom Account here: TEFA
Parents can now submit applications for the Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program. Deadline to submit applications is March 17. First awards will be available to participating children for the 2026-27 school year.

BCS Highlights
Our 3rd graders recently competed in their class Spelling Bee! We are proud of all the students who participated and showed great effort and courage. Great job, 3rd graders! Thank you to their teachers, Mrs. McFatter and Mrs. Hallum, for guiding and encouraging them along the way.
Mrs. Lunsford’s 1st grade class has been learning about the seasons, and this week they focused on spring and planting! Our students helped plant the BCS garden with fresh flowers, herbs, and vegetables. We can’t wait to watch everything grow!
Mr. Brook’s 8th Grade IPC students put their physics knowledge to the test with their Egg Drop Experiment! Students worked in groups to design and build a “crash pad” that would catch their egg safely without it breaking. Using what they’ve been learning about physics, creativity, and teamwork, they put their designs to the ultimate test. Check out one of the winning teams!
A team of BCS Eagles (students, staff, and family) just returned safely from a 10-day trip to Bulgaria. They spent time teaching English lessons in Devin, building relationships with staff and students there, and experiencing thousands of years of history, including a visit to Kavala, Greece and the City of Phillipi, the historical site of what took place in Acts 16, starting verse 11.
We are so proud of our students who chose to spend their Spring Break in service to others.
