A Note from Mr. Burris

Dear BCS Families,

As we enter the final week of school at BCS, our hearts are filled with gratitude for all the Lord has done in the lives of our students, faculty, and families this year. So much prayer, effort, and sacrifice have gone into making this such a meaningful and successful year, and we recognize that every blessing and achievement comes from God’s gracious hand. We are deeply thankful for His faithfulness to our school community.

A couple of passages of scripture come to mind as we reflect on His goodness:

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 4:19 (ESV)

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:8 (ESV)

Throughout this school year, we have seen the Lord faithfully provide for our needs and pour out His grace in countless ways. God has truly been good to us.

As summer begins, my prayer is that your family would carry this spirit of gratitude and thanksgiving into the months ahead as you rest from a year filled with both challenges and victories. I also encourage you to begin praying now for the coming school year—that the Lord would bring revival to our campus and continue to work powerfully in the hearts of our students and families.

I leave you with these words from the Puritan Thomas Watson:
“The soul that would live in peace and comfort must recount the mercies of God and record His benefits.”

With gratitude,
Cody Burris
