Eagle Updates Newsletter – Apr 13, 2026
A Note from Mr. Burris
Don’t look now, but we are midway through the month of April! The Spring time of year is a powerful picture of renewal, growth, and fresh beginnings.
In the same way we are reminded of the new life we have in Christ. Scripture tells us that anyone who trusts in Jesus is made new, leaving the old behind and stepping into a life filled with purpose, hope, and grace. What a joy it is to see that truth lived out in the hearts and lives of our students each day!
As we move into this final stretch of the academic year, our school calendar is full of opportunities to celebrate achievement and represent Christ well in doing so. Our varsity baseball team is gearing up for the playoffs, demonstrating perseverance, teamwork, and Christlike character on and off the field. Our track athletes are preparing for their end-of-year meets, where their hard work and dedication and faith will be on full display.
The upcoming Cheer and Dance Banquet will honor a season of hard work and commitment, while Fine Arts Night at the college will showcase the incredible talents God has given our students. Our Spring Show promises to be another highlight, filled with energy, creativity, and joy. We have numerous students taking part in PSIA State competition as well, as they seek to honor the Lord with their heart, soul, mind and strength.
Beyond campus, our students will embark on numerous field trips, from our youngest learners in elementary to our secondary students, each experience offering opportunities to explore, learn, and grow together. These moments outside the classroom often become lasting memories and meaningful lessons in God’s creation and His world.
In all of these events, our primary aim remains clear: to represent Jesus well. Whether competing, performing, learning, or celebrating, we desire that everything we do reflects His love, grace, and truth.
1 Corinthians 10:31
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
Matthew 5:16
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Join us in our mission to celebrate what Christ has done in the lives of our students at BCS this year!
With gratitude,
Cody Burris
Interim Head of School

Junior High Track Championships
Our Junior High athletes gave an incredible performance at the Junior Track Championship, and we couldn’t be more proud!
The 8th Grade Boys brought home 1st place overall, while the 8th Grade Girls and 7th Grade Boys each earned an impressive 2nd place overall finish. In addition to these team accomplishments, many of our students earned individual medals. What an outstanding day of competition!
We are so proud of these athletes and the dedication they’ve shown all season. A big thank you to our coaches for their hard work and commitment to our students. Way to go, Eagles!
