A Note from Mr. Burris
Dear BCS Families,
As we step into a new year together, I want to express my sincere gratitude for the trust you place in our school and for the partnership we share in the education and spiritual formation of your children. The turning of the calendar invites us to pause, reflect, and look ahead with hope—and as a Christian community, we do so anchored in the enduring faithfulness of our God.
Scripture reminds us of this truth in Lamentations 3:22–23 (ESV):
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
What a gift it is to begin again, knowing that each day we are met with fresh mercy, steady, grace, and renewed purpose. The new year is not merely a reset of schedules and routines, but an invitation to move forward with hearts shaped by gratitude, humility, and a deeper trust in the Lord.
Sinclair Ferguson once wrote:
“God’s grace does not simply give us a fresh start; it gives us a new heart to walk with Him each day.”
Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and faithful commitment to our shared mission. It is a privilege to serve your family, and we look forward with joy and expectation to all that God will do in and through our school in the year ahead.
May this new year be marked by blessings, revival, and walking in the Lord’s new mercies each morning.
In Him,
Cody Burris
Interim Head of School

School Choice is coming soon!
The State of Texas recently passed a law that allocates a portion of the annual Texas budget to what is known as School Choice. This means that parents will have the opportunity to apply for funds that they can use to pay for their child’s private school education. We will be sending out more information in the coming weeks, but for now, please use this link to review the information about the Texas Education Freedom Account: TEFA
ACSI will be hosting a webinar about School Choice on January 7th at 11:00 am that parents are invited to register for: School Choice Webinar
Please be on the lookout for more communication from Mr. Resecker about School choice in the coming weeks.

THANK YOU PTF FAMILIES and VOLUNTEERS!
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the parents and volunteers who helped make the Christmas Shop and Cowboy Christmas such a success last month. These events are some of our favorite traditions, and they are a true reflection of what makes our PTF community so special. From setting up and shopping with students to serving, smiling, and supporting behind the scenes—none of this would be possible without you. We are incredibly proud to host these events, and it is only because of your time, generosity, and willingness to serve that they continue to be so meaningful for our school.
