Eagle Updates Newsletter – Mar 30, 2026
A Note from Mr. Burris
Dear BCS Families,
As we prepare to enter April and the final stretch of the school year, I want to share our spiritual focus for this last term: Proclaiming His Name.
Since August, our journey has been intentional and foundational. In the first term, we focused on knowing who God is, studying His attributes to better understand our Creator. During the second term, we explored our identity in Christ—recognizing both our need for a Savior and who we become through faith in Him. In the third term, we emphasized how we are called to live in light of that identity.
Now, as we enter the final term, our focus turns outward: sharing the message of the Gospel with a world that needs Christ.
Mark 16:15
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
2 Corinthians 5:20
“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us.”
What a tremendous responsibility—and privilege—God has given us at BCS. We are His ambassadors to our community and beyond. It is our prayer that this evangelistic mindset becomes central to the heart of every staff member and student.
As Charles Spurgeon once said, “Every Christian is either a missionary or an impostor.”
Those are convicting words. My prayer for all of us at BCS—and for you as parents and grandparents—is that we would take seriously the Great Commission entrusted to us. There is no better focus as we finish this school year than faithfully proclaiming the hope of the Gospel.
With gratitude,
Cody Burris
Interim Head of School

Eagle Open Golf Tournament – A Success!
Our first annual Eagle Open Golf Tournament Fundraiser was an incredible success, and we are celebrating all that God did through this special day!
From meaningful community connections to a beautiful day on the course, everything came together in such a memorable way. Because of the generosity and support of so many, we are excited to share that we raised $49,205 for BCS! Thank YOU to everyone who invited, shared, sponsored, collected donations, participated, volunteered, and prayed! It all mattered so much.
With this event, along with our other efforts throughout the school year, Eagle Family Business Network, Giving Tuesday, and the Class Project Auction, we can’t help but celebrate how good God has been to BCS this year. Thank you, BCS families, for your incredible generosity and faithful support. It truly makes a difference!
