This is a FULL and EXCITING time for all! We are nearing the end of a wonderful school year, but we aren’t quite done yet. There are still things to learn, tests to complete, and accomplishments to celebrate. Let’s finish strong!

Secondary Q&A Night
TOMORROW, April 29
PARENTS – Mr. Resecker has sent out Course Selection emails for incoming 5th-8th and 9th-12th graders. Make sure to check that you received one for your student(s). Please make plans to attend our Secondary Q&A Night for all of your questions about courses, credit offerings, etc.

Finals Schedule
Below you will find information about final exams and exemptions for secondary students (5th-12th grade) from our student handbook. There is also a final exam schedule included. Senior Finals will be May 8-9, while 5th-11th grade will be the following week.
Please let us know if you have any questions.The finals process will be as follows for each grade level listed:
- 5th-8th Grades: two core finals in Fall semester and two core finals in Spring semester
- 9th Grade: All core finals taken each semester with opportunity for one exempt final
- 10th Grade: All core finals taken each semester with opportunity for two exempt finals
- 11th Grade: All core finals taken each semester with opportunity for three exempt finals
- 12th Grade: All core finals taken each semester with opportunity to exempt all finals
Students may be exempt from the final in a specific course if they meet all the following requirements:
- have a 90% or better in the course
- have obtained no demerits or discipline write ups

BCS Athletics
Athletic Banquet – May 12
Deadline Approaching
Junior High and High School Athletes and families, join us for a night to honor and celebrate our BCS Eagles. Dinner will be served. Athletes eat free. Adults – $20 and Youth (under 18) – $10.
Deadline to register is Monday, May 5.
BCS Baseball
After a 14-5 victory in the first round of playoffs, the Varsity Baseball team is on to the Regional Playoff Round! They will play tomorrow, April 29 at UH-Victoria at 6:30pm. Help us cheer them on! We’re proud of you, Eagles!
Regional Track Meet Results
Your BCS Eagles had another great meet last week at Regionals! These students qualified and are headed to the State Meet on Thursday.
Girls: Bo Coburn, Finley Krsak, Kourtney McKee, and Kacee Ressler
Boys: Hayden Blagg, Josiah Burris, Kole Calhoun, Noah Davis, Blake Henderson, Wyatt Jansky, Garrett Jones, David Kier, Kane Knighton, Eric Pigott, Aiden Rodriguez, Josh Simmons, Mason Speed, Riot Sullivan, and Tyson Sullivan.

BCS Highlights
Mrs. Garcia’s Class – Plant Life Cycle
Mrs. Garcia’s PreK 4 Class has been learning about the life cycle of a plant. They have learned the parts of a plant, and even planted their own seeds!
Field Day
We’re still thinking about how much FUN we had at Field Day! Bounce houses, races, hurdles, long jump, sno cones, and smiles made it a fantastic day! Thank you Coach Sullivan and Coach Rogers for planning this event and preparing our students everyday in P.E. Thank you teachers and coaches for all of your help in making this a great day! Can’t wait for next year!
