A Note from Mr. Burris
The first few weeks of the school year are behind us at Brazosport Christian School, and it’s already clear that the Lord is moving in powerful ways among our students and staff. The hallways are alive with joy, our classrooms are filled with learning, and our chapel services are rich with biblical truth. It’s a blessing to witness!
As we begin this school year, we’re intentionally focusing on the character of God. This pursuit has already proven to be both humbling and deeply encouraging. Our desire is to see students not only grow in knowledge but also strengthen their walk with the Lord.
Charles Spurgeon once said, in a sermon he preached at the age of 20:
“The highest science, the loftiest speculation, the mightiest philosophy, which can ever engage the attention of a child of God, is the name, the nature, the person, the work, the doings, and the existence of the great God whom he calls his Father.”
We invite you to join us in this pursuit—to grow alongside your children in your knowledge and love of our Creator. Imagine the impact of dinner table conversations where families not only talk about the events of the day, but also about the attributes of God!
Here’s a powerful reminder from Scripture about the role parents play in shaping the faith of the next generation:
Deuteronomy 6:7
“You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”
You’ve got this! Let this be a year where your family grows stronger in what the Bible says about God and also in your personal faith in Him.
Let’s behold our God together,
Cody Burris
Interim Head of School

BCS Highlights
Elementary Missions
BCS Elementary Missions will continue our partnership with the Brazoria County Dream Centers KidFuel program. This ministry provides Brazoria County school children with much needed food each weekend. Items will be collected as a chapel offering each Wednesday. A table is set up in the PreK/elementary wing where students can place their offering before or after chapel. All items need to be easy to open (pop top), without a can opener, and ready to eat with no cooking required. Students can donate as many items as they wish each Wednesday. Let us join in this community effort to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need.
PK 3 — 6 Pack of Pudding Snacks
PK4 — Box of Pop Tarts
Kinder — Large Pop Top Can of Ravioli
First — Box of Cereal Bars
Second — Large Pop Top Can of SpaghettiOs
Third — 6 Pack of Cheese Crackers or Gold Fish
Fourth — 6 Pack of Pudding Snacks

Missions Need: PASS IT ON CARDS
Mrs. Wied has a need from Elementary Missions:
This week I realized that the kiddos were responding to pass it on cards. They got excited about encouraging others by putting a card in someone’s locker or on their desk. They liked the idea of blessing others anonymously. If you are willing to donate Pass It On Cards for grades PreK3-4th Grade, please contact Mrs. Wied, pwied@1bcs.org.

These sales support our Senior Class, Student Council, Fine Arts Programs, and National Honor Society.
