BCS in December

As 2022 is coming close to an end, we want to say Thank You for all of your kindness and support to Brazosport Christian School.  We are beyond grateful to have such a strong following of supporters and continue to be blessed beyond measure each year.  During this giving season, we are still receiving donations to go toward our mission of making a difference in the lives of our students by providing them with a strong faith based education that will ensure that they are prepared for life after graduation.  Please consider making a tax deductible donation to BCS and be a part of making a difference!  Click HERE.

We have recently had several of our students make The Facts Paper!  Way to go Eagles for all that you do!  We are so proud of you!!!  Ethan Shelby, one of our current 4th graders is involved in cub scouts, and his troop helped with the JSL Teddy Bear Carnival that is a local fundraiser that helps abused children.  BCS encourages a serving heart and has (2) serve days a year to instill this gift in our students so that they go out into our community and continue to serve.  Way to go Ethan!  Read more about it and see a picture by following this link to The Facts Newspaper:  Facts Newspaper Link.

Elijah Burris and Ethan Nelson also made the newspaper on leading our Varsity Football team in all-district selections!  They were both mentioned again in a separate article with other Varsity Basketball Boys team members as they highlighted their skills on the court during the Alvin, Livingstones game.  Both articles with pictures are listed below:

Eagle Updates Newsletter – Dec. 9, 22

Good afternoon BCS Community!

It is hard to believe we have almost walked through an entirety of a semester at this point. We hope that everyone has the opportunity to finish any last minute tasks prior to moving into the Christmas and New Year holiday, so that there can be a healthy measure of rest and rejuvenation afforded to you.

Check out our end of year newsletter in our latest edition of our Eagle Updates. Additionally, keep an eye out from your child’s teachers surrounding any end of year happenings within their specific classes.

Thank you all for making this place the incredible community that it is!

With Thanksgiving Break behind us, we are off and enjoying being in the classroom again!  We have a lot going on over the next few weeks as we approach our middle of the year point and Christmas Break.  This year is going by fast, and we are enjoying every minute of it!

JH Drama students gathered for a Murder Mystery Party
Our JH Drama students gathered for a Murder Mystery Party in the school cafeteria a few weeks ago, and it was a complete hit!  Thank you so much to Mr. Cowan for hosting this fun event for our students!  They are working now on the Christmas Drama Play that will be performed on December 9th.

Storytelling during the Preschool through 1st grade Thanksgiving feast celebrations. Pre-k through First Grades this year celebrated Thanksgiving by having a feast shared with parents and grandparents. Pre-k and kindergarten set up in the cafeteria and had a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Feast, while First grade students celebrated in their classroom with a feast and by reading a book about Thanksgiving.

If you haven’t visited the school in a while, be sure to stop in and see the Murals that the High School art class has been working so hard to put up! Great job!

Prior to the Thanksgiving break, several staff members bundled up and played a fast paced soccer game with our new BCS Soccer Team. Although it was a tough match, the staff members won 1-0, however, there were lots of tylenol, wrapping joints, and resting for staff members after the game! In any case, way to go BCS soccer team, we are excited to see you soar this year!
