Biblical Integration Across the Curriculum

At Brazosport Christian School, biblical integration is foundational to everything we teach and do. We believe that all truth is God’s truth, and therefore every academic discipline provides an opportunity to understand His character, His creation, and His purposes more fully. Rather than treating faith as separate from learning, we intentionally weave Scripture, biblical worldview, and Christ-centered thinking into every subject area, helping students see the world through the lens of God’s Word. This approach is essential because it shapes not only what students know, but who they become: individuals grounded in truth, equipped with wisdom and discernment, and prepared to live out their faith with purpose, integrity, and a commitment to serve God and others in every area of life.

English / Languarge Arts

We teach English with the conviction that communication is a God-given gift designed to glorify Him and serve others (Proverbs 15:23; Colossians 4:6). Students are taught to read and write critically and creatively, discerning truth and beauty in language. Literature classes explore human experience through the lens of Scripture, helping students evaluate themes, characters, and worldviews. Writing is emphasized as a tool for both expression and persuasion, rooted in integrity and truthfulness (Ephesians 4:29). Our goal is to develop articulate, thoughtful communicators who reflect the image of a communicating God.

Mathematics

Mathematics reflects the order, consistency, and faithfulness of God’s creation (1 Corinthians 14:33; Psalm 19:1–4). At BCS, we teach math as a means to cultivate logical thinking, precision, and problem-solving skills. Math helps students understand the intricate patterns God built into the world and equips them to steward resources wisely and serve their communities. With a focus on both mastery and meaning, students learn that mathematics is not only practical but deeply theological, testifying to a God who is unchanging and eternally wise.

Science

Science at BCS is taught as the study of God’s creation, revealing His power, wisdom, and glory (Romans 1:20; Psalm 104). We aim to cultivate curiosity and responsible inquiry while grounding students in a biblical worldview that acknowledges God as Creator (Genesis 1:1) and sustainer of life. While students learn scientific principles, they are also encouraged to wrestle with ethical questions and to recognize science as a tool for stewardship, healing, and problem-solving within God’s world. Our science program prepares students to explore creation while standing firm in their faith.

History / Social Studies

History is the unfolding story of God’s redemptive plan in the lives of individuals and nations (Acts 17:26; Daniel 2:21). At BCS, we teach history and social studies with a focus on God’s sovereignty, human responsibility, and the need for moral discernment. Students learn to analyze past events through the lens of Scripture, recognizing both the fallenness and dignity of humanity. Our goal is to prepare Christian citizens who understand their role in shaping culture, defending truth, and serving their communities with justice and compassion (Micah 6:8).

Fine Arts

The fine arts reflect the creative nature of God and allow students to glorify Him through beauty, expression, and craftsmanship (Exodus 31:1–5; Psalm 33:3). At BCS, students are encouraged to explore their God-given creativity in visual art, music, drama, and performance. Our fine arts programs nurture imagination, discipline, and worshipful expression. Students are taught that art has the power to shape culture, stir hearts, and point others to the beauty and truth of the Gospel.

Physical Education / Health

We believe that the human body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19–20), and physical education is an opportunity to honor God through discipline, stewardship, and teamwork. At BCS, we teach students to develop healthy habits, pursue physical excellence, and embrace sportsmanship and self-control. Our PE and health programs are rooted in a biblical view of the body and aim to instill lifelong respect for physical well-being as part of God’s holistic design for human flourishing.

Technology

Technology is a powerful tool that can be used for God’s glory or distorted by sin. At BCS, we equip students with the skills to use technology ethically, creatively, and purposefully (Colossians 3:17). Students are taught to approach digital tools with discernment, responsibility, and a commitment to truth. Our goal is to develop digital citizens who understand both the benefits and dangers of technology and who are prepared to lead in a tech-driven world while staying rooted in biblical wisdom.

Foreign Language

Studying a foreign language enables students to appreciate the diversity of God’s creation and participate more fully in His mission to reach the nations (Revelation 7:9; Matthew 28:19). At BCS, our foreign language programs foster cultural awareness, understanding, and communication skills that extend beyond borders. We emphasize the value of every language and culture in God’s redemptive plan and prepare students to engage with the world as ambassadors of Christ who are ready to serve in a global context.
